Pick up a book

That's those bound sheets of paper with words printed on them that you see when you walk through the library looking for a place to "study" or sleep.

Although it may be surprising to some, books can actually be entertaining. With topics on everything under the sun, find something that interests you, even if it's "Beat Any Video Game in 10 Days" or "5 Beauty Secrets Your Mom Would Never Tell You." Reading, in the immortal words of Martha Stewart, is definitely a good thing. Remember, Borders has no boundaries.

Keep up on the news

News is an important part of your day, just like breakfast. Keeping up on the government's latest financial bailout or the news media's best friend, Britney Spears, is an easy and entertaining way to keep your mind sharp over our much-anticipated winter break.

Plus, think how smart you will sound to that good-looking guy/girl sitting next to you in class next semester when you are able to discuss current events that occurred over the break.

Eat, drink and be merry!

Before you stick that twelfth Christmas cookie in your mouth, reach for some fruit. It's just as sweet, and you can eat a heck of a lot more without the guilt.

Drink! Water that is. Guzzle and chug as much as you'd like, knowing that you're avoiding a massive holiday hangover. Fruits, veggies and plenty of water will do more good for you're mental state than you can imagine. You'll be able to wake up the morning spring classes start with a clear mind and a smile on your face, knowing that you can still fit into those jeans you really like. It's a total win-win situation.
