A St. Louis High School teacher and a UH professor reported that their cars had been broken into overnight while in the Wa‘ahila parking lot. Both cars’ locks were damaged, and one car’s passenger window was broken. The only item missing was a pair of Fendi sunglasses. The thieves were probably practicing for a car that actually contains something to steal.
Sunday, Oct. 18
Campus Security found a Honolulu Weekly newspaper stand on the roof of the Hale Aloha Cafeteria. The stand was positioned so that a gust of wind or little push would send it over the edge. The person(s) who put it there should have considered the damage it would have caused if it fell on something or someone.
Wednesday, Oct. 21
A student with a fake U-Pass attempted to validate his student ID. The student claimed he bought the U-Pass for $ but didn’t know the seller’s name or contact info. Students with counterfeit stickers should remove them before going to the Campus Center ID office. Their staff knows what a real U-Pass looks like and will keep your student ID and send it to Judicial Affairs.
