In the Oct 7. story “Campus center renovations place tree in danger,” it was reported that the second phase of the project originally integrated the Ficus Comosa tree into the construction plans. Earlier plans did not integrate the tree, according to Campus Center Board President Andrew Itsuno. The story reported that the Ficus Comosa is believed to be the only tree of its kind in the state, but there are eight others at the Lyon Arboretum, according to Itsuno. The story reported that the tree was planted around 100 years ago, but the tree is about 80 years old, according to Itsuno.

In the Oct. 7 story “Budding filmmakers get their break,” it was reported that the UH Mānoa ACM films will be premiering at the Hawai‘i International Film Festival on Oct. 23 at 8:45 p.m. The ACM films will be premiering at 7:45 p.m. on Oct. 23. The Shanghai University students’ short films will be shown that day at 1:30 p.m., not at 5:45 p.m. as reported in the article. The errors in the article were a result of a correction to an ACM press release that was noticed after the article was published.

The ACM student filmmaker in the photo that accompanied the story is Priscilla Stafford, not Priscilla Stanford, as noted in the caption.

In the Oct. 8 story, “KTUH celebrates 40 years of radio,” it was incorrectly reported that KTUH was “the nation’s only 24-hour, student volunteer-led station.”
