In the story “Carbon dioxide not sole chemical culprit in global warming,” Richard Zeebe was referred to as an assistant professor; Zeebe is an associate professor. No funding for the research was provided by the UH meteorology department or other departments within SOEST. The JOIDES was only one drillship in which sediments were recovered. The study did not analyze global warming events before or during PETM, only events afterwards.
