After three weeks of tournament play, nine matches and with little time to recuperate, the No. 15 University of Hawai‘i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team gears up for their first Western Athletic Conference matches against Idaho and Boise State, Friday and Saturday nights.
Last Saturday's nail-biting contest against Louisiana Tech should have served as a wake-up call for the Warrior football team as they hope to achieve the dream season they and their fans so desperately have been hoping for.
The University of Hawai‘i Rainbow Wahine soccer team closes out its six-match homestand this weekend with matches against the Duquesne Dukes on Friday, Sept. 14 and Sunday. Sept. 16, at the Waipi‘o Peninsula Soccer Stadium. The pair of matches against Duquesne will be the Rainbow Wahine's final appearance in Hawai‘i for nearly two weeks, with their next home game scheduled for Sept. 28 against Weber State.
This Saturday the University of Hawai‘i football team (2-0) will face off against non-conference foe University of Nevada, Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. Hawai‘i time). UNLV (1-1) enters the game after a tough 20-13 loss to then-No. 5 Wisconsin, and UH is hoping to improve its record after a close, come-from-behind win at Louisiana Tech. The No. 24 Warriors end an 11-day road trip at UNLV's Sam Boyd Stadium, where they haven't won in more than a decade.
