Sports Update: changes in parking and transportation for Friday's kickoff
Issue date: 11/21/07 Section: Sports
Due to a 4:05 p.m. kickoff time for Friday's matchup with Boise State and increased traffic from a sold-out crowd, the following changes have been implemented:
Aloha Stadium parking opens early
The lower Hālawa parking gates will open at 10:30 a.m., while all other parking gates will open at 11:30 a.m. Parking gates at alternate parking sites (Ford Island, Leeward Community College, Kam Drive-In, Radford High School) will open at 11:30 a.m. as well. Aloha Stadium turnstiles will open at 1 p.m.
Chancellor's free student buses depart at 2 p.m.
Six buses of 48 passengers each will depart the student residence hall area near Gateway House (Dole Street at East-West Road intersection) promptly at 2 p.m. This game is sold out and traffic will be heavy, so cooperation in being on time for the 2 p.m. departure is appreciated.
