'Bows looking to prove themselves in Rainbow Wahine Classic

Starting this Friday, Nov. 23, the Rainbow Wahine basketball team will host the annual Jack In The Box Rainbow Wahine Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center. The tournament is scheduled to continue through Sunday.

Invited to play in this year's Rainbow Wahine Classic are No. 21 Texas, Kentucky, Hartford, Lipscomb, Minnesota, Virginia and Alabama Birmingham.

On Friday, the Warriors will play the Lipscomb Lady Bisons (1-3) from Tennessee. The Bisons' only win came from a 123-22 rout of the Fisk Bulldogs.

Also playing on Friday will be Hartford versus Alabama Birmingham, Texas versus Virginia and Minnesota versus Kentucky. UH will play either Hartford or Alabama Birmingham on Saturday.

Tip-off for the Rainbow Wahine's game on Friday against Lipscomb will be at 11:10 a.m. The championship game will be held on Sunday, Nov. 24.
