Scrotie was one of a kind! From his crazy dance moves, his loud sounds in his car, his hair style! Any color you name it Scrotie had it! I remember going over his hale and hanging out one day and Kanani and I colored Scrotie's hair Green and Hot Pink in FOUR different sections of his hair. Scrotie loved it!

Scrotie was a guy with such a BIG heart. Never did anything to hurt anyone. Scrotie was always there as a helping hand if you needed him. If he wasn't at home Scrotie was either running Bay Front, down the beach swimming, DJ-ing a party or hanging out with all his friends! ... It was awesome being a friend of the one and only Scrotie! ...

I only just learned of this tragedy in the UH Magazine "malamalama." I have never known anyone who died in a war, fighting for our freedom. And now here I find Scrotie is gone.

I met Scrotie in classes at UH; we graduated together. I remember his craziness, but what stands out most to me was his artistic side. He could doodle stuff during class that I could never dream of drawing in my lifetime!
I remember when his dad passed away, and it was very hard for Steve ... that's when it was obvious what a deeply caring and sensitive person he really was. He was fun and funny, and he didn't like to leave people out. He was just a really good guy. The world and the Big Island are a little less without him, but memories of him will live on forever.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, Scrotie, but I know you're not - that's just how you are - all giving, no matter the consequence.
