Paraders celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., during commemoration ceremonies in Waikīkī. The parade was the culminating celebration of a week-long honoring of the civil rights leader filled with dramatic performances, concerts and film screenings. 2008 marks the 40th year of King's assasination.
