A high school football standout from Charlotte, N.C., is suing the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, alleging that the athletics department denied him a full athletic scholarship commitment made by then-coach Jeffrey Reinebold before June Jones' departure.
The University of Hawai‘i Rainbow baseball team (7-13) dropped a game to No. 19 San Diego Toreros (14-7) Tuesday evening at Les Murakami Stadium. The Rainbows were looking for their first win since being swept at No. 9 UC Irvine in three games last weekend. However, San Diego gave Hawai‘i little hope for victory, defeating the 'Bows 6-1.
