Money, mentoring and opportunities await local students in science-related majors interested in the latest hands-on research and laboratory work. Applications are now being accepted for the Center for Microbial Oceanography: Research and Education's (C-MORE) new Scholars Program, which seeks to recruit more local students to science-related majors.

UH student redetermines size of asteroid & UH graduate programs are among the top in nation

A University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa student made headlines last Friday when he discovered that the asteroid credited for the extinction of the dinosaurs was significantly smaller than previously determined. The William S. Richardson School of Law and the College of Education were ranked among the top 100 schools in the U.S. News and World Report's "America's Best Graduate Schools 2009."
